The FINITE ELEMENT CIRCUS is a regular conference devoted to the theory and applications of the finite element method, and related areas of numerical analysis and partial differential equations.

The Spring 2016 Finite Element Circus was held on April 15 and 16, 2016.

It was held in the CSIC building on the campus of the University of Maryland, College Park.

Mention the Finite Element Circus to get the special rate of $100 + tax per room. The deadline was March 15. The Holiday Inn is about 2 miles from the Math Department, but there is a hotel shuttle bus to the University.

We also reserved rooms at the College Park Hotel ($85 + tax if you mention "Finite Element Circus", deadline March 31).

Alternatively, you can stay at other nearby hotels.

Directions and Parking

Directions for getting to the campus from airports, by car or Metro

• If you are staying at the Holiday Inn or the College Park Hotel you can leave your car at the hotel and use the hotel shuttle to get to the campus.
• Parking on campus on Friday before 4pm costs $3 per hour
  You can park in the numbered spaces in lot GG1 or in the Paint Branch Drive Visitor Lot (map).
  Use the Digital Pay Stations which accept cash (no bills larger than $10, no change given) or credit card.
  If you leave your car in a numbered space after 4pm you will still have to pay.
• Friday after 4pm and the whole day on Saturday parking is free in lot GG1 which is right in front of the CSIC building (map).
  DO NOT PARK IN A NUMBERED SPACE!
